FAQs
We suggest 3-5 folds, or rolls to properly seal your dry bag:
1. Press the sides of the dry bag together, while trying to smooth out as many wrinkles as possible. make sure the sealing strips along the tops of the bag, are pressed together.
2. While holding strips together, slide out all of the out trapped air. Once you have gotten all of the excess air out, tightly fold the top of the bag 3-5 times.
3. Connect the buckle in the direction opposite to the direction the material was folded.
*Our bags are not intended to be fully submerged in water. Please test your bag & ensure you are closing it properly before using it.
Can I fully submerge my bag under water?
No. Our dry bags (and all other dry bags) are not designed to be taken under water, as they are not fully submersible. Our bags are created with all waterproof materials, but with the roll top closure, there is no way to completely guarantee that water will not seep in. Our bags were designed for days on the boat heading to surf breaks, on your stand up paddle board, etc. where it can withstand splashes of water or to store wet/sandy items, but they are not built to withstand being fully submerged. Check out our Uses & Activities page to see what our bags are most commonly used for.
We strongly recommend taking your bag for a test run before you put your valuables inside of it.
What can I use the different sized dry bags for?
We size our dry bags volumetrically in liters. Although you can use your creativity to imagine what you would like to use your dry bag for, we wanted to illustrate some common uses for the different sizes:
- 5L = wallet, keys, wax, wax comb, fishing lures, & sunscreen
- 10L = all of the above + a towel, snacks, and a book
- 15L (most versatile size) = all of the above + extra set of surfboard fins, leash, water bottle.
How should I clean my dry bag?
All of our dry bags are waterproof, so after each use we love to spray our bags out with water. We recommend using a sponge with mild soap on them from time to time to clean them. To dry, stand your dry bag up, upside down, with the top of the closure on the ground to let it air out.
